tap is an atproto sync utility from the Indigo repo that handles firehose connection, verification, historical backfill, filtering, and event delivery for the repos and collections you care about. It is designed to simplify AT Protocol sync workloads by exposing ordered JSON events over Web Socket or webhook instead of requiring consumers to implement binary parsing and signature validation themselves.
